Members and roles
Inviting colleagues, choosing what they can do, capping what they can spend, and handing the workspace to someone else.
Open Members from the main navigation. The page lists everyone in the workspace with their role, when they joined and how many credits they have used this month. Pending invitations are listed underneath, so you can see who has been asked but has not yet accepted.
Invite someone
Owners and Admins can invite. Members cannot.
- 1Press Invite Member.
- 2Enter their email address. It must be the address they will sign in with.
- 3Choose the role, Member or Admin. You can change it later.
- 4Send. They receive an email with a link that is valid for a limited time and can only be used once.
What happens when they accept
The link opens an invitation page showing who invited them, the workspace and the role, with Accept and Decline. If they are not signed in they create an account or log in first. Accepting puts them in your workspace with the role you chose, seeing the connections it has.
They do not need to be told which database to use or given any credentials. Connection details are never shown to members.
Changing a role or removing someone
Each row on the Members page carries the actions available to you. Only the Owner can change a role, moving an Admin down to Member or a Member up to Admin. Owners and Admins can both remove someone from the workspace.
Removing a member frees their seat immediately. Nothing they saved is deleted: work they shared stays visible to the workspace, and work they kept private stays in place and remains visible to the Owner.
Cap what a member can spend
Every message costs AI credits, and by default any member can use the whole workspace balance. A monthly limit stops one person from consuming everyone else's allowance.
- 1Find the member on the Members page and choose Set Credit Limit.
- 2The dialog shows what they have used so far this month, so you can set the cap against real usage rather than a guess.
- 3Enter a monthly figure and save, or clear the field to leave them Unlimited.
Transfer ownership
Only the Owner can do this, and only to an existing member. It is deliberately slower than the other actions on this page, because it moves the billing relationship as well as the permissions.
- 1On the Members page, choose Transfer Ownership on the member who should take over.
- 2A confirmation email is sent to you, the current Owner. Open it and confirm.
- 3The incoming Owner is then asked to accept. Until they do, the transfer sits on the Members page as pending and you can cancel it.
- 4Once accepted, they become Owner and you become an Admin. Only one transfer can be in progress at a time.
